-
- 16/09/07 @ 09:26:32 pm
Hi Matt
Yes, you wait til you see the Gladys Over song, you won't be Gladys Over! Get on the Bus...a real journey with many stops!
And Charing Cross Chumps, some good ensemble singing, some of the delivery will be aka Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady
It's great to have these specially written pieces unique to our madness
Great rehearsal this week, Tony managed to Break a chair...Jai is sounding really dim, the spy is well...what can I say! Good fun all round -
- 18/09/07 @ 08:22:29 am
Another great time had by all,but will Beryl & Mabel ever get their line right?
'OH YES THEY WILL!'
What's that Indi,did I hear you say
'OH NO THEY WONT!' -
- 18/09/07 @ 07:23:39 pm
Moi! well you know Julie Andrews had and Audrey Hepburn had voice doubles, caue they couldn't get certain songs right, I know you will get it right, reach for the stars...the notes and possibly the ear plugs!!!!Joking of course! We all have bits and pieces that we struggle with, but that is the point of rehearsals...going over and over and over and over and over and over...don't ya just love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAArrrrrhhhhhhhhh Scripts down Friday about 6 weeks to go keep advertising

- 24/09/07 @ 01:04:48 pm

- 25/09/07 @ 01:02:00 pm
Brilliant news about the bus ! Can't wait to see it.
The show is on Saturday 17th November at 2.30 pm & 7.30 pm.
See you there!!!
-
- 27/09/07 @ 10:11:15 pm
Hang on! I've got the bus parked in my lounge ready for a coat of Russian Red, who let her in anyway! Hi Pip, you want to see the set squares, design squares, coming from our two Margaret Rutherfords next door. If I hear anymore about the drivers vanishing point, I shall make em disappear! It is a painstaking business this bus lark..thanks for the help, but it ain't ready till the ladies next door verify the painting!
You will however, love the pub sign, it sits with pride on our Joanna. Hay Ho! See you all at rehearsals at the weekend.
Night! -
- 29/09/07 @ 08:29:56 pm
Random thoughts from a broad:
By jove I think Mabel and Beryl got it today, let's hope the rest of the cast don't catch it! I hope our bus hasn't been built by Virgin, we'll never get it by the 17th! Will it all go swimmingly tomorrow? Oh yes it will.......... Great fun. -

Hi all. MADly putting together programme while doing alterations to soundtrack and learning songs and lines while decorating new house ready for move in between my gigs. all this while trying to walk in high heels!!!
I love keeping busy. Love it! love it!! LOVE IT!!!
John aka: Matron -
- 03/10/07 @ 11:34:50 am
High heels! decorating! Mabel definately not constructued by a Virgin, our number 39 will need a bit of imagination to get it orf the ground.Yes top marks girls you both got it right! Finally, during X Factor put my untechnical drawing skills to task and will do the painting tonight! Classic rehearsal moment, Gleep Gloop hauling Gladys around by his cardi, the classic moment was the "Say the line!" " Say the line!", as John was bent across Joes knee! John is now being charged to write the prgramme, correct the grammar....oops missed a bit, here's another sheet blah! blah! Can you add this. I know we will have to find someone to delegate to, as John has enough on his plate, although I must say we have ladies sewing, making props, raffle prizes being sought, novelty items for the stall being collated the list goes on and on and we only have about a month to go. Some amazingly motivated people work behind the scenes.Meanwhile, I shall leave this Mad crew for a week and Looking forward to the quieter climes of Cambodia on another macmillan adventure, where I think I will start to organise the May show, IF WE ALL SURVIVE THIS ONE!... great finale folks! Lokking forward to the Mad appearance on Saturday at the Family Support show...are they ready for us? I DON'T FINK SO!!!!!
-
- 05/10/07 @ 12:39:53 pm
Re: the joint builder of your bus (Mabel???) I hope the aspersions cast were unintentional, glad she's coming along nicely. I'll come and wield a paint brush when I can. Don't ask me to sew any pearly buttons though, knowing me I'll go straight through and sew the arm holes closed!
-
- 04/10/07 @ 10:51:14 pm
Get on the bus...news flash Mrs Wingrove has received 1,600 buttons plus more for the pearly king and queens outfit! Jen is now resigned to weeks of attaching buttons to suits
John is putting the prog together with chnages and modifications and oh,,,,could we just add and ohh can we just take this out...others are learning lines, songs, key changes, collating raffle prizes as the pace quickens..see you all tomorrow...get on the blog1 get on the blog! get on the mad theatre blog!!!!! -
- 07/10/07 @ 10:20:29 pm
Thanks Jane, had a dabble in the garden under the cover of darkness, so the artists next door could not get full view, although I have fessed up to them! You don't need to wield a paint brush, just an axe in my direction, as most of the cast do as I heat gets turned up at the studio and the demand for perfection increases. Quite funny painting by garden lights and trying to cook up a chinese meal in tandem. Great Great performance yesterday, our sneak preview of Charing Cross Chumps at Town Hall for Family Support, it felt solvent sassy and suitably MAD, well done to all the Mad cast (who get on the blog1 get on the blog get on the great big matc blog!) great perforamnce, we do however, have our work cut out with sharpening up on delivery for D Day..only about 5 and a bit weeks to go. Had a brief rehearsal tonight with Kaylee Asten and Em, some good singing coming on.Well done on yesterday some very positive feedback folks..should be very proud of yourselves!

Hi Lis and all!!! It was great to see you all and thank you once again to everyone for putting kind messages on the card. Much, much appreciated. The Dress rehersal on Sunday 4th November was absolutely brilliant. You all worked so hard..and I know on the day and night show will be even better. The photos have come out good and will show all this weekend!! See you all soon Chumps!
-
- 05/11/07 @ 12:33:07 pm
No! We'll have to pay people to come and listen to our singing or they will have to pay us double the ticket price to get out! All old jokes that get recycled! Bob was pleased with the result.Congrats on all the costumes, Ruth's done us proud with the red, white and blue dresses. It was great to get the shoot done and the sessh with Matt was fab, he's a real professional.Really love working with him because he sees comedy as a serious business, and the songs will grab the audience from the off. He's done a good job with the CD, we had alot of fun with the Matron song,Matt had to concentrate hard so as not to laugh during the recording. HE'S PLEASED WITH THE SONGS THANK GOODNESS. Rob n Candy did a great job yesterday.Again real professional who concentrate on the job in hand, love working with them. I don't think people can contain their excitment chat! chat! chat!...but we'll have to focus down if we want a spot on, rip roaring success. It will all soon be a distant memory, then we can congratulate ourselves on more funds for people living with cancer. It ain't over til the fat lady sings! Wot Matron! I must say Matron was the most glam woman on set, as she knows just how to glide in those heels!! See you Friday Liz, as you are the only one who uses the blog! Ha! Ha! Come on you lot get your messages up here....
-
- 07/11/07 @ 08:00:52 pm
Don't quite know how to feel about a man in drag being the most glam women on set !Perhaps I could trade in those lovely dungerees for something more feminine (like a beard )!
You are right about the costumes,my mum has done a great job!
By the way,am i the fat lady ?cos you have heard me sing and it would certainly be over if anyone else did!!!!
Looking forward to the weekend x x x
-
- 11/11/07 @ 10:34:49 pm
Hi Folks well he dress rehearsal was a scream today the residents of Hamilton Lodge loved it, really they did. Lisa said it was the most professional show she had seen, everyone came in in a calm collected manner and it all happened around her withour her having to sort anything, she also said how kind and gracious we all were in real life, I did ssay we were good actors. Thanks Mabel for taking the bus out, you're a much better driver than Ernie!!!Thanks Phil, you kept up brilliantly. although as you say only Miss Take and Harold stick with the script, now you know why the technical staff brick it when we are on at the West Cliff !!!
So, the CD is having the finishing touches to it, the bus is complete as of 10 mins ago, and all we need to do is act our tin hats off for hose brilliant people who will be our audience. Have a great week y'all really great effort this weekend..Best Of British to you all on this Remembrance sunday, today the rehearsal had a certain poignancy about it, being remembrance week..... -

Just wanted to say congratulations to all the Mad cast for their brilliant performance last night. The songs written by Matthew Gough and Indi, the music by John Ellson & Indi, the lighting and the acting were all very outstanding!!!! The Scene, the costumes and the atomphere around the theatre all came together on the day & night. You have all worked so hard and you should all be very proud of yourselves for what you have done!
My family thoroughly enjoyed the show, particulary my mum, even though she doesn't understand English. It was a great night out for her. Thank you all ! See you all next Sunday.
Robert & Candy X -
- 18/11/07 @ 11:55:51 am
Well Done Everyone!
What a thrill to see the songs performed on stage. Being in the audiance I was able to guage the reactions to each one and each one got just the reaction I was hoping for- thanks to you! My Family and friends really loved it all and the older members of the audiance were quietly singing along with the old numbers (especially my Dad- sshhh Dad!).
One thing, the website listed on the CD for me is wrong- that's actually a different Matthew Gough who does film music! My one is actually www.matthewgough.net (not.com)
It's my fault because I'm sure I wrote it down wrong, it really doesn't matter. Anyway, thanks to ALL OF YOU- you're fantastic and thanks also for the beautiful photo and card- it'll take pride of place in my studio at our new house,
Matthew

Hi Y'all
Got a way to go before next show on 14th want to make it a good one for those who aren't as lucky as we are
Another reminder get those folks along to the Murder mystery
8th December
We have some new talent for next show, as well as James, we have young Keeley who is a dancer and dances with Jaz, we have Victoria a local and an enquiry tonight from a young man from County High school. Also the return of one of the original cast members, who John and Cliff will know, Dave. So we have a host of Mads from all angles, will be a full ship....so lets get the theatrical heads together to take Clacton by Storm! Script writing as we speak!! -
- 04/12/07 @ 09:59:37 pm
Hi Y'all spent a happy few days coming up with D.Molitions baddie song and the clacton rock they have gone to maestro for musical cogitation and then we are all rumenating over dinner Friday night to agree on the first tracks of the new show!!
Got some crackin plot lines.....all will be revealed...
Lis where are you? Is there anyone out there?
All by myself will have to be my solo, or MAD blogs an english men don't ever use the mad blog!
Hope you won't be the only person trying to solve the mystery Saturday night Lis!

-

I've been looking for me dungerees aint I ! Found em so all is well for Friday.
Is there a meal after or is everyone too busy ? -
- 16/12/07 @ 02:00:45 pm
You didn't need ya dungarees Lis!
Well Friday we all died on stage, some more than others, people forgot their cues, forgot to come on, the audience chatted all the way through,Joe did a good job shutting them all up well you don't want us ruining your Christmas dinner
It was a great afternoon, for learning to carry on regardless, sorry to those who got the hump...but that's show biz AND it may have cured some people from chatting all the way through rehearsals!!! May employ some of those pensioners to come and chat and whisper all through and over peoples lines tisk! tisk! Cruel aren't I maybe I should play the baddie!Ha! Ha!
Very fair adjudicators report and well done all!Very pleased with the constructive comments, not sure why Jack should have been killed off...come on,a bit misjudged I think! Lots to work on for next time ...so lets put our Mad foot forward in 2008!
Thanks to all for making the effort but the oldies were clearly not up to sitting and listening to a show, they just needed an afternoon of songs, even then they were walking out!! Could tell the stalwarts who were coming on projecting and delivering on form, they were prepared to go to their grave before being chatted over..well done! Seasons greetings to all have a good rest! Better get on with perfecting the script!
Lis hope you are better and got rid of that cold, teach you to run around without ya dungarees on! -
- 16/12/07 @ 08:28:27 pm
Good time had by all,eh?
Cold got worse so I gave in and had Saturday off, still feeling horrid so will wait to see if I go in tommorrow.
Need to feel well to do the 12 hour days they expect from us highly paid managers at Christmas!(Bah humbug !) -
- 16/12/07 @ 09:57:15 pm
Oh Lis, you came cold and all, you didn't look too great, but soldiered on and didn't let us down1 Christma is an awful time for anyone in the hospitality business...get well soon...
Went to a show Friday night, the kids at County High out a great music fest on Emily and choir, Liam Jai etc etc loads of other great acts...only 20 people in a massice hall but they gave us a real great show and we loved it!
Went to see Wicked yesterday, not ure about the story line for a big westend show but wow the songs and voices and the energy considering they had all done the matinee. Blasted us all from our seats and had a whole auditorium ovation, reallly fab! So a mixed weekend of entertainment from the sublime to the ridiculous! -

There will have to be a New Years resolution amongst the clan, that everyone must get on the blog if they wanna be in the show, that I'll cause a rumpus!Ho Ho Ho
Thanks for the good wishes, although I'm not big on Christmas (bah humbug) as it is all so commercial and I've seen alot of poverty and sickness throughout the world, people who are on their own missing loved ones, lets spare a thought and some time reflecting on how lucky we all are to be surrounded by good people, to have our health and to enjoy a special time.
May 2008 bring health and happiness to all and may Mad continue by the grace and good will of those who support it,. Thanks for all your work this year £7,600 raised thi year. WOW! Love and Good time ahead! -

Hi Busy designing the flyer and writing the newsletter, doing some funding applications for the various 2008 Mad projects!! Well, Lis we may have to ask Ray to be Sandra! Not really, only jesting. Well wonder how that welsh girl from the valleys is getting on learning that voice. One of Phil and I best friends at College was from Swansea, and we had hours of fun learning the lillting intonations, well, I'll have me work cut out I've got to be voice coached by our two Northerners B and F....I could probabaly do it like Ringo Starr or pretend I come from Dudley, oh well Rock on January!
See Ya'll at the coffee do Saturday!
Cheers Lis and Jill where's Robert!!! Lets nag him -

Yes, I agree..Claire was really outstanding on the night. Sadie is also very promising for her age and she should enter it again next time. She has a very distinctive voice. Hi Robert, yes we seem to have the same maddites supporting but a fab evening for £1, I had one of the Andrex sisters called me tonight and raved abou it, so we make some people happy. Calire will be THE voice in NOVEMBER, I really rate her as a singer, sooooo goood! Sadie has a fab quality and tone, my type of voice as I love jazz, but needs a little more stage practice, I think Charlotte has a superb voice and can deliver a song, real stage presence I would like to see her in a show I think and her brother. Joe and Jai still took the place by storm! Thanks for photos Sue should have it in thi week at the Gazette...so £500 before we start the next show!!! lots of great comments about the Essex Factor!

- 06/02/08 @ 11:17:31 pm
Hi Ind & all
The answer to the rat question: Found this in google under Year of rat 2008...don't take my word for it or blame me!!!!
A Rat Year is a time of hard work, activity, and renewal. This is a good year to begin a new job, get married, launch a product or make a fresh start. Ventures begun now may not yield fast returns, but opportunities will come for people who are well prepared and resourceful. The best way for you to succeed is to be patient, let things develop slowly, and make the most of every opening you can find. People born in an Earth Rat are said to be logical realists, shrewd, charming, ambitious, and inventive. Of course, the entire horoscope must be considered when making any personality assessment.
In Chinese, the Rat is respected and considered a courageous, enterprising person. People born in the Year of Rat are clever and bright, sociable and family-minded. They have broad interests and strong ability in adapting to the environment and able to react adequately to any changes.
They are gifted in many ways and have an easy going manner. They are active and pleasant, tactful and fantastic, and are able to grasp opportunities. They seem to have interests in everything and hope to participate in doing it and usually do it very well.
Good luck!
Robert

Hi Lis, hope you are well. No one lets a show down unless they can't be bothered, you are shaping up to be a right Sandra, very good infact. The poster is outside the Westcliff, looks fab!! I was accosted by a group of crazed fans in Tesco, asking when the show would be and were very excited when they knew it was our very own Butlins! I didn't give anything away though...so we do have some takers already! We had a meal with one of the front of House Team Christine, she used to play with her band at Butlins and her Dad was the Head of the Musicians union in Clacton and led the band in the Viennese Ballroom, how spooky is that!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW. Anyway we've got to give em a show to remember and we will do it!!!

Thanks Robert soooo much, what a great professional to have on board with Mad, you've impressed so many people with the poster, and thats what makes them come to the shows too, so sincere thanks. Photos are again very very impressive
It's great to have positive feedback with only three rehearsals to go...the clock is ticking tick tock (oops I'm sounding like a baddie) Yes, lots of energy with the CD production this weekend, rehearsals and dress rehearsals well done all for turning up bright and early and getting down to the nitty gritty. As the big cheese (haha) yes lots of energy but we need more, we need electricity shooting off the stage guys and " it ain't over till it's over" as they say in all the good Rocky films. Everyone really reached for the stars sunday, such a wonderful group and remeber to give your all, we shall be closing the door on Butlins very very soon, with huge sums raised for cancer patients: well done all see you Sunday 1 to 4-

Hi to all you MAD performers. I've just managed to catch up with the blog after being told by Indi many, many months ago to "Get on the blog, the big big blog!" Well I was bored this lunch time; so that's what I've done & great fun it has been - I started at the begining - a very good place to start - well I was very bored, that is before I started reading the blog. I hope you are all ready for the big day -go break a leg, but don't slip on the grease paint, go dazzle the audience, but not with the lights, be there or be square - See Saturday!

Hi everyone!!!!
Having watched the show twice today..once through my video camera and second time actually sitting down...everything I see now are red!!! What a colourful, vibrant, brilliant, lively and full of talents show.Everyone were once again first class and truely professional. Well done to all!!!! You were all amazing!
Just as a feedback, I could hear the audiences around me were all joining in and having a really good time. And a few ladies & gents were singing along with some of the oldies behind me and a lot of people were laughing so much. So I think you have all made a lot of people very happy...just like Mr. Butlin. But of course most important of all, is that we have helped to raised some money for Macmillan Cancer support....So quite an acheivement indeed.
See you and speak to you all soon!! Oh well done with the music Matthew !!!!

I was sooooooooooooo proud of myself, finally wrestled the p.c. away from Chloe, (well actually did it whilst she was out - I'm not that brave!) then left my massage on the silverloop thingy instead of the mad thingy so the following has been cut 'n' pasted, don't re-tune your sets!!!!
What another great show folks, makes me wish Butlins was still going! I'd love to have been a clone and sat in the audience too, they were having almost as much fun as us! Thanks to all of you who helped me keep going behind the scenes - my dressing room pals. Big hugs to stage hubby Cliff who made sure I got on and off in the right places! Now looking forward to the next one, though not sure about those men dressed as schoolboys, more knobbly knees methinks! See you on the 5th if you're coming' xxxxxxxx -

What a brilliant show and what a brilliant time we had. So many good comments from my lot. "The best yet" they said - and lots of wonderful comments about the "Blue Notes" - so how are you going to beat this one???? Knowing the talent of our wonderful leader - she will.
Sandra - thanks for the wig and the sausage rolls. Shirley - thanks for the mascara. Brenda - thanks for the funny jokes and keeping me focused, oh and for the lend of your lovely husband to flirt with. It was a pleasure sharing a dressing room with you all. Thanks Matthew for writing the music to those brilliant songs. I think we should have been in The Eurovision Contest we would definitely have won. Robert, what would we do without you, making us look so good. Thanks to all of you for being such lovely, supportive, caring people, I love you all. Most of all thanks Indi for allowing us to act out your funny, brilliant writing, we are all so priveleged.
I am going to miss you all soooooohh much, but I will be in touch, and perhaps turn up to a couple of rehearsals - but I will be back if you'll have me.

I've been resting darlings! Not really the flamin computer has been up the creak!!!! Thank the Lord for Dave Caley... Well, £5,000 later and what a wonderfully professional and vibrant show, accolades from Norman Jacobs, my Director of Mental Health at work (what!!!) the young' uns will be something to live up to next time, the running club said it was a fast paced comedy and there were some movers and shakers who really ramped up the pace
Well, I hope I am not gripped by writers block, staring at a blank canvas as the clock goes tick tock tick tock..you get the point! Many many thanks to the all the production team, musical maestro, photographers, raffle ladies and front of house crew, all the hidden talents. We really did reach for the stars, it was good! But don't forget next time we need to really pull our school socks up....Michelle, Annette, Anita Jill Matt. Rob and of course Lis mad mad bloggers that you all are, great to read your ramblings Michelle: the Irish dance night 5th July £6 per ticket, is the next mad gathering...shall call you! thanks for all the lovely comments and what a wonderful mad mad mad mad world we inhabit... we reached for the stars and reached the moon...can we bottle this feeling and send it around the world so we can defeat all the other evils in this world. Well we need to make another 800 plus, other people happy in November so gird your loins. Don't forget to come and see the MAD trio at the one act play festival 22nd June, something completely different: Headgate Colchester shall reserve some tickets. a tale of life in london as immigrants arrive from abroad, a very different side to mad

Hi Folks...all in after show hibernation I expect! The swimming club were very impressed and didn't recognise me with my clothes on!!! Thanks guys! We did nothing but tred water and relive their favourite moments "those girls" "that band" "the music" "the bullying baddie with the dress" sorry Astie, so the accolades pour in etc etc etc. And if only I could have replicated "the Georgie Britains got talent singin in the rain routin," although I had a good attempt at it last night. See y'all Thursday for the volunteer night....they may all talk all the way through it!! Holland Hall revisited night you guys! x
-
- 04/06/08 @ 10:21:29 pm
Hi Folks, just put the tools down as I was planning on building an ark with all the rain! Just to advertise dear Mike rang me today and said a very prestigious ex teacher of arts in the area etc came to the show and said she had not seen such brillance for a long time! A pal from the runners at Great Bentley's Uncle has died and they have donated to our cause instead of flowers at the funeral, and he was a Mad fan....so some plans about a remembrance Christmas concert, I think Indigo girls will oblige
See those keen Mad people tomorrow round the back of the Princes Theatre! Do we have to do it again!!!!!!!Night all as I swish my smoking jacket in a theatrical manner and shuffle off this immortal mad world to the chambers.....blah! blah! blah! Actually got to learn me lines for 22nd...byeeee -

Hi All, A very slow week has passed as many hold very close in their thoughts the former Mad member and member of the West cliff Stage Foundation, this young person was a pivotal part. For those of you who read the blog in passing please hold Oliver Game close in your thoughts as he has been involved in a terrible motorbike accident. Our thoughts are with Ruth ( as his Grandmother) and other members of his family. It is a good time to reflect on all we need to appreciate in our own lives, that is often treated us mundane and taken for granted. We must all now firmly fix our minds on the positive and grasp tightly to all the hopes and dreams we have ever wished for to provide solid support to Oliver and his family.

Update: with rehearsals looming large on the horizon we shall have our work weell and truly cut on taking on board the useful advice of the NEET team, pacepacepacepace IS EVERYTHING.The Mad SS is soon upon us, the band rehearsals have started in force and we are doing some dialogue work. Great news with the nominations for John in the Chunps...well deserved, who could play a milkman, a Primeminster and a rather over-active Matron, totter in heels and paly the trumpet at the same time, also those Blue Notes, I am crossing everything everday for you but driving down the A14 gets a bit hazrdous. Working up my Mad and mean Directors muscles, to get you all in shape...feel the burn. For those interested in coming along to Class of 32: tickets at the West cliff Theatre box office for 15th November on day only!!! 2.30pm and 7.30pm 01255 433344
Next installment on the Mad SS coming soon -

What an eventful summer it has bee culminating in 6 young people at the MAD summer school, who have become permanent memebers, this will add vibrancy and fun to an already great forum. Mad also have their weekly youth group who have their production on 26th September, which we hope you will support £1 entry fee, raffle and refreshments! We also have some key nominations at the NETG on 12th September watch this space. Mad are also producing their very own Panto this year, to be staged at the Studio and other venues! We also have had a brilliant fundraising effort from Robert Wongs Nephew Nathan Ling: who is 11 years old. Nathan organised a 10 mile bike ride for Macmillan , long with 11 people and a dog they completed the challenge and raised £100 for charity! So the Class of 32 has begun and we are having a ripping time! Rather see you Friday and do add your comments!

Very useful visitaion from Mark Briggs, luuvie extrodinaire, some useful feedback for us thesps, to smarten up the Class of 32. 60 tickets sold in the afternoon, and 50 in the evening, but now is not the time to be complacent, posters and flyers aloft, good ole Jill has provided us with handfuls of publicity to go forth and do the business!
Look forward to the Special Autistic groups performance on Friday!
They are really up for welcoming you all to their performance and very proud of what they have achieved!
The programme is complete, the soundtrack is done, all glory to the fine people who beaver in the background, to do all of these jobs and do them so graciously. Really got to start getting in shape for Brantham......looking forward to seeing everyone next Saturday and what gorgeous weather we have had on our weekend off! Whoooppppeeee! -
- 27/09/08 @ 09:31:55 pm
Well scripts down on the 27th September, not too long before Brantham!!!!!! A really strong start, with some good characters developing. A way to go with learning the dialogue, as all of us need to sit in a darkened room and commit it to memory. So first act without scripts on Friady and thens next Sunday some fun with the opera! Ha! Ha!
Well done to all, it was a very productive four hours, with some real progress and character development from you all
Well done! -

We are at The Brantham Festival next Saturday, competing with the latest production, it will be a good run out for the cast I feel, even if we don't pick up any awards. But we'll see, it will be a useful rehearsal time. Well done to all the cast and crew (Katie, Robert and musicians) for really pulling together the last few days, the results of your efforts are bearing some wonderful fruit, hopefully Bramley Apples, as we are at Bramley Boarding school!!!
